Fall-ify your coffee not coffee with these two delicious Autumn recipes that will have you jumping in the leaves for more. It’s the season to throw on your favourite sweater, keep snug and spice up your morning coffee routine with the super ingredient cinnamon.

Why do you ask? Well, it turns out cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, can cut the risk of heart disease and may even protect against cancer according to Healthline. Great news our Hot Cacao Superblend has it included in its mighty superfood ingredients, along with goji berry, green tea, and mangosteen extracts. 

Surprisingly cinnamon and coffee go together like peanut butter and jelly.  Try these tasty (and very indulgent!) recipes today to celebrate the season and spice.

 

Autumn Pumpkin Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup made up hot green coffee
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons sugar (depending on your sweet-tooth).
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, (it’s loaded with cinnamon goodness!)
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Instructions: Add milk, pumpkin puree and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Heat until hot, but do not boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and the green coffee. Divide the mixture between two mugs. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

 

Cinnamon Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 1 mug of made up Hot Cacao Superblend
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp of icing sugar
  • ½ tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Whip topping
  • Marshmallow (optional)

Instructions: In a small bowl whisk together sugar, milk & cinnamon.  Prepare your Hot Cocoa Superblend & then stir in all ingredients Top with whip topping such as caramel, marshmallows or Hot Cocoa Superblend.
